Trip to Salem After the Ball?

Tequila Matt is looking into organizing a trip up to Salem, MA after the Ball is over. Halloween is definitely Salem's high season? I am reposting the following message, which Matt posted to Facebook:

Who wants in on a (Browncoat) group trip to Salem, MA 10/23-10/25? This would be immediately after the Browncoat Ball in Providence (Warwick) RI, 10/21-10/23. If interested, contact Tequila Matt at TequilaMatt@comcast.net! (I'm working on a group rate and itinerary.)

There's four of us from Albuquerque thinking of joining Matt for this, but we got such a great deal at the Ball hotel that our room reservation extends through Tuesday night.

Matt, how much of a drive is it to Salem from Warwick? Perhaps we could do day trips and meet up with you that way?

Matt said on Facebook just today that due to lack of interest and his own schedule, he won't be organizing the Salem trip any more. However people should feel free to organize their own trip!

Google Maps says it's roughly an hour and a half from Warwick RI to Salem, MA.  However I doubt it's taking the sheer traffic insanity of Salem on the weekend before Halloween into account, so leave plenty of time. This is Salem's high season.
